RootToReceptor™ Awareness Talk at Vikalp’s 20th Foundation Day

On May 8, 2026, RootToReceptor™  Founder, Dr. Suchita Pande was invited as the keynote speaker at Vikalp’s 20th Foundation Day in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Vikalp is a training and rehabilitation centre and school dedicated to supporting children with special needs and their families through education, rehabilitation, awareness, and community engagement.

Held at the Doon Library and Research Centre, the awareness session brought together educators, healthcare professionals, caregivers, families, students, and members of the local community for an interactive discussion focused on stress, neurodevelopment, emotional environments, nervous system regulation, and whole-person well-being.

The keynote talk, titled:
“Every Child, Every Family: Understanding Stress, the Nervous System & the Roots of Well-Being”
was presented as a RootToReceptor™ Awareness Talk and explored how modern biomedical science, neuroscience, epigenetics, and integrative perspectives can help create a more compassionate and preventive understanding of health and human resilience.

The presentation discussed:

• Neurodevelopmental conditions and nervous system overload
• The autonomic nervous system and chronic stress activation
• Trauma, emotional environments, and long-term physiological effects
• Epigenetics and the relationship between lived experiences and health
• The importance of awareness, regulation, resilience, and community support
• The need for more integrated, whole-person approaches to health and well-being

The session also highlighted the impact of stress not only on children with special needs, but also on caregivers, families, students, working professionals, and communities navigating increasing emotional, social, and environmental pressures in modern life.

As part of the discussion, the talk emphasized the importance of moving beyond symptom-focused conversations and creating greater awareness around the deeper biological, emotional, environmental, and societal factors that shape human health.

The event was attended by members of the educational and healthcare community, along with students, parents, and caregivers, and encouraged dialogue around compassionate and inclusive approaches toward neurodevelopmental and emotional well-being.

The program and awareness talk were also covered in regional Hindi and English newspapers, highlighting the growing need for conversations centered on nervous system health, resilience, emotional awareness, and holistic support systems for children and families.

The awareness talk presentation included themes related to stress biology, neurodevelopment, epigenetics, nervous system regulation, trauma, resilience, and integrative approaches toward well-being.

RootToReceptor™ is grateful to Vikalp and the organizing team for creating a meaningful platform for awareness, dialogue, inclusion, and community-centered education.

Events like these reflect the importance of bringing science, education, emotional well-being, and compassionate care into public conversation, especially within schools, families, healthcare spaces, and communities.
